ECLIPSERMM / WINDOWS ADMINISTRATION
Built to run in the background.
A signed Windows service that starts with Windows, preserves device identity and reconnects after temporary outages. Managed through EclipseRMM.
01 / IN PRACTICE
A service, not a desktop workspace
EclipseRMMAgent runs as a Windows service with automatic startup. Normal operation needs neither a persistent desktop window nor a tray application. Administrators can identify and inspect the service using ordinary Windows tools.
02 / IN PRACTICE
Disconnecting is not deletion
When authenticated heartbeats stop arriving, the device becomes Offline and remains in the portal. After connectivity returns, the existing agent reconnects with its registered identity. An offline state is not evidence of uninstall.
03 / IN PRACTICE
Respect the local machine
Normal Windows UAC and explicit management authorization remain part of deployment. EclipseRMM does not bypass Defender, SmartScreen or Windows Firewall. It does not conceal the installation or prevent authorized administrators from recovering control.
04 / IN PRACTICE
Removal remains accountable
The authenticated dashboard offers a confirmed uninstall workflow that removes the service and revokes device access. Local administrator recovery and removal remain available when dashboard access is unavailable. Review the correct device before initiating removal.
